One of the perks to living in Midland is Gage and MacKenna getting to spend lots more time with their cousins
Between the four of them their ages are 1,2,3, and 4! A few days ago we had Brock over to play so I snapped a few shots….as you can tell by the photos, MacKenna was much more willing to have her picture taken.

Gina and Lori are sisters who both got married this past year! They were home close to Christmas at the same time and asked me to do a session with the two of them both in their wedding dresses….to say the least….we had a blast! It was a lot of fun and I think they had fun with it.
We waited to post these photos because Gina’s husband Andy has served in the U.S. Army for the past 10 years and he is currently on his third tour of duty in Iraq. She wanted to send some o f the images to him for Christmas so we waited for him to get them! I am so thankful to men and women like Andy who take on the responsibility and choose to fight for us who are here in the safety of our own country and homes. It almost seems like “Thank You” doesn’t quite say enough! I asked Gina to tell me a bit about Andy and his service. Andy sent a “Happy New Year” email to his family this year, and here are just a few of his words,
”I think this New Year shows how much progress has been made here in Iraq. At least it does to me. I know that not many of you back home can really see how things have changed over here, but I want you to know that we haven’t been sitting on our hind ends doing nothing for the past almost 7 years. A lot of work has been done and it shows. But, none of this work could have been possible if the Soldires, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines didn’t have family and friends back home just like you supporting them and giving them the strength to survive the tough times. I thank all of you for the love and support you’ve shown me and my fellow Service Members! HAPPY NEW YEAR!”
WOW! I read that and just sat still for a moment and realized how much I take for granted. So even though it doesn’t seem like enough….I want to say THANK YOU to Andy and every man/woman who serves our country.
Gina also said that all of the photos she sent were hung on his wall at his home away from home. So……I want to help more people’s family members have images to hang on their wall away from home as well!
Here are a few of the images we captured that day…

January 14, 2010 - 12:53 pm - AMANDA!!! You just made my heart so happy! Thank you doesn't ever seem enough, i agree, but it means more than you'd think! I can't wait to share this blog with Andy! Thank you to you for honoring two military members with special family pictures, they will be one more very precious thing to help them keep their eyes on the prize of returning home and staying safe while serving! What a blessing! Thank you Amanda!

These boys were troopers! It was freezing cold and sprinkling on top of that!! We were almost sure that anyone who drove by thought we were crazy, but we were on a time crunch. These are Kayla’s (my sister) nephews and they were only in town for the evening before heading off to Ruidoso bright and early tomorrow to spend Christmas. Sweet little Carson will be 1 year soon so we got a few extras of him
Thanks for the fun
Have an super blessed Christmas you guys!
